Mr. Buckley is a Senior Associate in the Labor and Employment Law Department concentrating his practice on labor and employment, municipal law, and public employee retirement law.
Work for Clients
Mr. Buckley, advises clients on a wide variety of labor and employment and retirement issues, including collective bargaining, labor relations, discipline and discharge, layoffs and demotions, discrimination, unemployment benefits, severance and release agreements, school law, and public employee retirement cases, including accidental disability and pension forfeiture. He has experience representing clients in labor and employment and retirement matters before the Federal District Court, Supreme Judicial Court, Massachusetts Appeals Court, the Massachusetts Superior Court, the Massachusetts District Court, the Department of Labor Relations, the Civil Service Commission, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, the Division of Administrative Law Appeals, the Contributory Retirement Appeals Board, the American Arbitration Association, and the Division of Unemployment Assistance. He also has extensive experience defending police officers in civil rights cases in both state and federal court.
Mr. Buckley is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and the Federal District Court of Massachusetts. He is a member of the Mass. Municipal Lawyers Association and received their Robert W. Ritchie Special Achievement Award for Outstanding Municipal Appellate work in 2014.
Mr. Buckley is a graduate of Suffolk University and Boston University School of Law. He has worked for the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, and in a municipal law department for many years. In addition, he served three years active duty in the United States Army in an artillery division.
