The Deutsch Williams school law group represents many school committees of cities and towns across Massachusetts on the full range of legal matters that confront them in the operations of public schools. Our services include:

  • Labor and employment matters including hiring, tenure, termination, grievances and collective bargaining
  • Governance issues including the respective roles of the school committee and administrators under Massachusetts law
  • Staff matters including evaluation, training and development
  • Special education and education of students with disabilities
  • Constitutional issues such as First Amendment free speech, discrimination and student discipline questions
